In 2008, the Susan G. Komen Foundation celebrated their 25th anniversary of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, with well over one million participants since 2005.
The Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
Dr. Self has been involved in the reconstruction of breasts lost to cancer for years and supports the Susan G. Komen foundation. Come join him in the race for the cure on May 7th, 2011 and help raise awareness for this great cause.
